Driveway Cleaning in Central Coast
Driveway cleaning lifts grime, black mould spotting and tyre marks from concrete and paved driveways, paths and carport floors. It is the surface pressure cleaning suits best, and the one whose wash water runs most directly to the street.

What pressure cleaning in Central Coast actually involves
A driveway darkens unevenly. Tyre tracks and oil marks follow where cars stand, mould spotting spreads where the slab stays shaded and damp, and on a paved drive the joints turn green first because the gaps between pavers hold water after the faces have dried. A carport floor collects the same grime without the rain that would otherwise rinse part of it away.

What the quote should cover
Central Coast Council's water-wise rules don't allow driveways, paths and paved areas to be hosed down. They do allow a high-pressure cleaner on them in limited circumstances, and the circumstances listed are the usual reasons for a driveway clean: a build-up of mould or moss, oil stains, surface discolouration, and preparing the surface for resealing. The rules define that equipment as a high-pressure, low-volume cleaner with a trigger nozzle, using less than nine litres of water a minute. Sealing goes onto a dry surface, so a wash and a seal can take two visits.
Every driveway falls towards something, and on many blocks that is the kerb and the street drain. What comes off a driveway during a clean carries the grime with it and any cleaning product besides, and placing polluting matter where it will wash into a drain can be an offence under state pollution law. Before work starts, ask where the runoff will go and how it will be caught.
Driveway Cleaning in Central Coast — common questions
Is it allowed to pressure clean a driveway?
Yes, for the reasons a driveway usually needs it. Council's water-wise rules ban hosing down hard surfaces, but a high-pressure cleaner may be used to remove mould or moss, oil stains or discolouration, or to prepare the concrete for resealing. Ask the provider whether they seal, and with what.
Where does the dirty water go?
It should be caught or directed away from the street drain, not hosed down it. Detergent is dissolved, and Council says dissolved pollutants can pass through its stormwater filters.
Can the carport and garage floor be included?
Yes. Mention them in the enquiry so the provider's quote covers the whole slab.
